Javarius moved to Nashville in early 2024 to pursue a job but when he arrived, he was told the pay would be significantly less than originally promised. He had now uprooted his entire life and would be making nowhere near what’s needed to live in Nashville. Javarius became homeless in a short period of time and had nowhere to turn. Through connections on social media, he found Dream Streets’ Transitional Housing Facility.

He successfully applied and moved in quickly. Shortly after his arrival, he learned of our Job Readiness Program and signed up to join. Javarius has thrived as part of the program, and far exceeded our expectations during his cohort! He was asked to save $100 per month through the course of the program; but in a few short months he has now saved $1,000. He’s currently interviewing for positions in the hospitality industry with a renewed sense of confidence, and Javarius credits Dream Streets with setting him on a new path forward for success!
